Becky

I live in NC with my husband and two sons (11 and 6 months). I love to cook and especially like trying new things. I'm a horrible baker, but I'm learning! My oldest son is one of the pickiest eaters I've ever met, so that makes things tricky sometimes. I'm always looking for yummy yet kid-friendly recipes!

I've made so many different versions of meat loaf over the years trying to find the perfect one, and I think I've finally found it with this recipe. My meatloafs in the past would either have a nice taste but fall apart, or have no taste at all and stay together. This is the best of both worlds. It has a lot of flavor and didn't fall apart on me. I did mix half a cup of ketchup and half a cup of heinz 57 to put on top of the meatloaf as another reviewer suggested and it was fantastic. I will say I did have to cook it for about 20 min longer than suggested, and that was with cutting the recipe down slightly, but I will definitely be making this one again!

Baked Ziti

This is by far my favorite Baked Ziti recipe. The sour cream is so much better than the ricotta. It's also pretty easy to prepare. We've been using this recipe for a couple years now and wouldn't change a thing!

Shepherd's Pie II

I've tried many different Shepherd's Pie recipes, all to which were alright but could never find one that I would make continuously. At least until now. My family loved this, and my incredibly picky son claimed how great it smelled while I was making it. My husband absolutely loved it, as did I. I was a bit nervous about the nutmeg but it was such a lovely addition. The only changes I made were that I added a little flour just to give the meat mixture a thicker consistency, I used green beans instead of peas for the simple fact I don't like peas, and put the potatoes on top with a bit of shredded cheese. This was the best Shepherd's Pie I've had. This will definitely be made in our house time and time again!

Simple Beef Stroganoff

Not bad, it was very easy and quick to make. My husband and I both liked it. I did add some extra salt and parmesan cheese to give it a tad more flavor, as it was just a little bland without it, but overall pretty good when you're in a hurry!

These are very good and very easy to prepare. Definitely go with the Kings Hawaiian sweet rolls! As good as these are right away, I think they are even better the next day reheated! Thanks for the recipe!

Delicious! This is the first time I've ever made bread. It's been done for 30 min and the loaf is already half gone. It is so good, and so easy! No more store bought bread in this house :)

Best Pennsylvania Dutch Chicken Corn Soup

This would have received 5 stars had it not taken me literally all day to make. The fat never solidified, so I waited, and waited, and waited, until I finally just tried to soak up what I could with paper towels. I'm sure there is some technique that I just didn't know. The rivels did not turn out great, at all. Again, I'm sure it was due to the fact I've never made them before, but next time I think I'll just sub some egg noodles. Otherwise, this soup hit the spot on this yucky, rainy day! Delicious!
