These have been my favorite brownies for 18 years now! Growing up my best friends mother made these and I've loved them ever since. I now make these for my own kids who love them too. These are very rich, moist, and flavorful with the butterscotch & marshmallow making them distinctive. Delicious and different. (formerly Aljowa on allrecipes - can't remember my original password.)Note: my original recipe card calls for only 2/3 Cup brown sugar.
Easy & delicious! No need to buy boxed mixes again. Like another reviewer, I baked this in a 9 x 13 pan for 43 minutes. Yum! My entire family loved it.
Excellent bread! Easy to make on a moments notice too since everything is always on hand in my kitchen. I doubled each of the spices but other than that didn't change a thing. It was moist and delicious and my entire family really loved it. I'll definitely make this again.
My entire family really likes this and they aren't really fond of casseroles. It's quick and easy but tastes very rich. I usually add a few cloves of garlic to it as well and sometimes a bit of curry powder too. (I also use the "Healthy Request" soups with low sodium & less fat along with "light" sour cream and only 3 chicken breast halves.) Perfect comfort food!
Too sweet for my tastes but does have a really nice consitency.
I've been making these for years so wanted to add my tips. First of all, I bake for 3 minutes at 250 degrees which is perfect. (Don't go over 4 minutes though - it will burn.) Secondly, the small twist pretzels work the best in my experience. The problem with the round pretzels is that even if you're very careful about pressing the M&M down well enough to make the chocolate from the Kiss spread, it doesn't always spread enough-especially if younger children are the ones doing it. You then end up with some pretzels seperateing from the chocolate center quite easily. At least with the small twists or the waffle shapes, the chocolate has enough pretzel to attach to with no effort at all. My third tip is to make sure you line your baking sheet with either aluminum foil or parchment paper. These are easy and a great way to get your holiday sweet 'n salty fix. It's a perfect activity for children too. My kids have been helping me since they were in preschool. They do all the unwrapping, and placement of the pretzels and candies, and I do all the oven work.
Delicious! I doubled the soup (used the Healthy Request version) and the sour cream(low-fat), used half a packet of taco seasoning mix instead of the chili powder, and used a reduced-fat Mexican cheese blend. My entire family loved it.
I'll make this short and sweet...these are excellent cookies. My new favorite! I have been on a quest for the past few weeks to find the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe and this is it. The are not too flat, or greasy, or cake-like at all. The outside is crunchy and the center is soft, just as promised. Simply delicious.
Excllent recipe. Just like my Mom always made except she melted the butter so the frosting was more of a glaze. Easy and delicious and perfect for cookies.
I made this cake for Easter hoping it would be extra special based on all the great reviews. While it's not horrible (it looked beautiful and tasted fine, I also made a glaze for the top) it is also nothing special. It definitely tastes just like what it is - a doctored up cake mix recipe. I much prefer cakes made from scratch rather then using a boxed mix. I still give it 4 stars though since I don't believe it should be compared to a cake made from scratch. It is what it is but I won't be making this again.
ITA with the others who said these were bland - they really were. I've made other much better, more flavorful, and better-textured sugar cookies. I will definitely not make thses again.
