I started with this recipe, but then veered off a little bit - added an extra half package of cream cheese and sour cream, cut down to about 2/3 cup for the mayo and heavy cream, and used sharp yellow cheddar. I misread the directions the first time and mixed in 2 tablespoons (not teaspoons!) of Old Bay so it was a bit spicy but still good. I've made it once with crab and once with shredded chicken, and it's tasty either way.
This is one amazing pasta sauce! I added some diced zucchini, as someone else suggested, and left out the mushrooms and hot pepper. I don't like chunky sauce, so I was a little worried about this recipe, but it turned out fantastic! I will definitely be making this again and again instead of buying jars.
Excellent starter recipe and easy to customize! I cut down on mayo (about 3/4 cup) and added extra green onion, green pepper and black olives - just my personal preference. I've made it twice for cookouts and come home with an empty bowl both times...my husband's friends love it!
I followed the suggestions to add the extra yolk and increase the baking time and it came out great! Definitely better than paying $10 for it at a restaurant. I like a stronger vanilla flavor so I think I'll add a bit more next time and play around with other flavors.
Delicious and easy - and makes a ton! Even using half the cream cheese and sour cream called for, I had a good bit left over. A few cloves of fresh garlic gave it some extra zip.
Fantastic! I added an extra potato, about half a pound of cooked bacon pieces when I put in the clams and let everyone add their own vinegar, and it turned out great. Next time I'll try it with extra clams - yum. This is definitely a keeper!
I got hooked on Indian food while living in the UK, but it's impossible to find where we live now. This was a great recipe, but very mild. Next time I'll add some extra chili powder to spice it up for me. Mine wasn't pretty, but very tasty. Be careful with your garam masala - the one I used (store-bought) had WAY too much cinnamon and that threw off the flavor.
I don't usually like sweet with meat, but these were pretty darn good! I used boneless Iowa chops (about 1 1/2 inch thick) and added a dash of cayenne, then marinated them in the sauce to make sure the flavor got all the way through. Broiled in the oven for about 7 minutes per side and served with boiled marinade for extra dipping sauce. Yum!
This was quick and easy - my favorite type of meal! I cut way back on the cheese and used provelone instead of mozzarella, about a slice and a half per breast, and left off the extra proscuitto. Covered with foil for the first 20 minutes, and the chicken was perfectly moist. I will definitely be making this again!
Excellent quick-fix meal, with lots of leftovers. Like most of the other reviewers, I made this on the stovetop and left out the caraway seeds. I also substituted a can of tomato soup for the sauce because that was what was in the cupboard. My husband loved it, but it was a little too sweet for me - next time I'll cut back on the sugar and use smoked paprika instead of sweet. Yum!
These were tasty! I used half the sugar and it was still too sweet for my taste - next time I'll leave it out.
I thought this was just okay. The butter seemed to completely overpower the beef - I was glad I put it on the side instead of on the meat. I would cut down on the pepper as well, it was a bit much.
