This was wonderful! Everyone loved it! I didn't have green onions or sesame seeds and it was still terrific! I tried it with chicken, too, and it made probably the most tasty, tender chicken I have ever had. Yum! I made an extra batch of the marinade and added about 2T cornstarch. Then I threw it in with frozen stir-fry vegetables after the meat cooked and let the vegetables get crisp-tender. It makes a very tasty sauce. GREAT RECIPE! Thanks!
This is the best banana bread recipe ever--not too sweet and great flavor. I live at 5,000 feet so I had to make some adjustments (+ 2T flour, -1/3 tsp b. soda, - 1T sugar), but the texture was perfect and it was great toasted. I also added 1 tsp vanilla after the bananas. Great recipe!
This is a great recipe! I had to adjust for altitude (-2T white sugar, + 1T pineapple juice, + 2.5T flour, -1/2tsp b. soda) because I live at 5,000 ft. I also liked it better when it wasn't cold, so I would recommend frosting it right before serving it. Just a thought.
The name says it all! I have spent my life looking for a great chocolate chip cookie recipe and have finally found it. The first time I made them I didn't have enough butter so I used 1/4 cup melted butter, 1/2 cup butter flavored crisco, and 1 T water and they actually turned out better than the second time when I made them with all butter. I think I might try just crisco next time. I also had to make adjustments for high altitude (+2T flour, -1/4tsp b. soda, -1T brown sugar, -2tsp white sugar). Great cookies, though.
I used one lemon and one orange and I sliced them into thick slices and stuck the cloves (about 20) into the edges of the slices 'cause I thought it was prettier. I also used 3 cinnamon sticks intead of just 1. It had a lot of flavor, let me tell you!
This is my husband's new favorite desert! It is not too sweet and has a great flavor. I used crunchy peanut butter because I like the texture that it adds, so I mounded my measuring cup to make sure I had enough peanut butter :) Also, my husband doesn't like chocolate, so I make one with chocolate cookie crumbs for the rest of us and one with graham cracker crumbs for him. I garnish that one with cinnamon to give it some color. They are both very tasty.
This has such an awesome flavor! Yum! I used raspberry jam with the seeds because that is what I had and it turned out great! I also doubled the sauce and put it in a bowl so we could put it on top instead of on the plate. I am sure it is good either way.
This is great to have on hand for lunches. I think the regular rotini is prettier because there is so much red and green in the other stuff, but to each his own. I also use thawed frozen peas 'cause I like them better, and I use cheddar or colby-jack cheese for color and flavor. I didn't put the whole bottle of dressing on either because it was too strong. Really love the salad, though.
The flavor of this sauce was great! We didn't really like the meal, but it was because our meat was too fatty, not because the recipe wasn't wonderful. I think I will try it again with chicken breasts or something because the sauce was so good.
This is exactly what I was looking for--thank you! I added cooked, cubed chicken breast and left out the sesame seeds. I also used half green and half red cabbage (just to make it pretty). Very good flavor.
I will definitely use this for all my mexican dishes from now on. It is much cheaper than the packaged stuff and doesn't have MSG! Yeah!
This was really good. I added 1/2 pound of bacon, used bacon grease instead of butter, celery instead of broccoli, and added 1/4 tsp dry mustard. I served it in bread bowls and got great reviews from everyone.
