The Best Banana Pudding

As mentioned before, this recipe is VERY sweet. I am usually a huge fan of rich, sweet things, but I could only handle one dish of this (which was good). Also, unless you need to feed an army, I would scale it down. It filled a 12 cup dish! I'm not a huge fan of leftover brown bananas so I didn't want to eat the leftovers, although if you like that, there was plenty! And I would NOT use 14 bananas, it was way too many...maybe 4-5 at most!

This is an absoultely scrumptious cake, muffin, bread, whatever you decide! I made it into a cake and added a sprinkle of cinnamon and a tsp of vanilla. Served it with cream cheese icing and got rave reviews! It stored in the frige very well and we would warm up a piece in the microwave when desired. Thank you for this amazing recipe!

Amish Meatloaf

This meatloaf was AMAZING!! My husband thought it was the best he has ever had and said he would eat it every night if he could. It was very moist making it superb. The ketchup topping was a little strong but I just slid mine off the side and enjoyed! Thank you for that wonderful recipe!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

This was a hit at our house!! I did modify a bit, but it was simple and oh, so good! I used a can of cheddar cheese condensed soup instead of the beer, one can of chili beans, a bag of frozen corn and 2 lbs chicken breast instead of what was suggested. It cooked on high for 3 hrs then on low for 3 and was superb with sour cream, tortilla chips and monterey jack cheese! Next time I may add some velveeta!

My Amish Friend's Caramel Corn

This is delicious popcorn. I made two batches today and burnt half of the first one so had to make another. Note: When you take it out of the oven, IMMEDIATELY put it on the wax paper. I broke something and left the popcorn on the pan too long. I had to stick it back in the oven to soften it enough to come off the pan--it's like cement. That didn't help the popcorn though, it burnt! The second batch was great although more chewy like others mentioned, I don't think I baked it quite long enough. (If you take it out of the oven to stir for too long you need to add a few more minutes of baking).

Beef Barley Vegetable Soup

This was awesome, although I just used this recipe for a starting point. I don't know where to even get barley so I used 3 lbs of leftover top sirloin roast, added two bags of frozen mixed veggies, chopped and boiled potatoes, 3 cups of water with beef bouillon cubes, about 8 oz of V-8 and some velveeta cheese. It was the best my husband, sister and I have ever had. Even the three 5 year olds ate it and LIKED it!

Easy Chicken Pot Pie

I was not impressed with this recipe, nor was my husband. We love pot pie but the filling was not very good. It was missing something...maybe next time I will try it with the substitutes listed on the reviews.

Delilah's Frosted Cut-Out Sugar Cookies

This was an excellent recipe. I doubled the batch and separated into 4 separate batches. I only chilled for an hour and took one batch out at a time. It was the perfect cut out cookie, not too sticky! I accidentally added too much salt but noone seemed to notice except for me. Thank you Delilah!!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Okay I did not have a bread machine so I tried the recipe anyway after reading the reviews. Something did not work. I heated the liquids before adding the yeast but it never did bubble.....so then the rolls never did rise very big. I am looking for a recipe for rolls you can get in good restaurants and these did not work! The kind that melt in your mouth and that is all you want to eat! Maybe I will get a bread maker and try it again since it has such great reviews.

Mary's Deviled Eggs

A little dry and I had to add more ingredients, but I loved the outcome! My trick for the eggs is to set the timer for 12 minutes as soon as the water starts to boil. Then immediately after drain the hot water and fill pan with ice and water--lots of ice. As soon as the eggs are cool (5-10 min) peel and the shell will come off easily. It has always been a no fail way for me!

Lori thank you so much for the best cookie recipe I have EVER had! I have probably made twenty plus batches of this cookie dough and everyone who has had the pleasure of eating it is just as impressed as I am. I have made it with M&M's as well as chocolate chips. This is the ONLY chocolate chip cookie I will ever make. My family begs me to make these! Thank you!

Beer Margaritas

This is an awesome margarita! It does have a little kick and you can definitely taste the tequila, but I like it that way. You CANNOT taste the beer so don't let that scare you if you are not a fan of beer! I squeezed a little fresh lime in and used diet 7Up. Thank you so much for this recipe!
