Really tasty dumplings! My boyfriend raved about these! First time I ever made them and they came out light , fluffy and perfect. I halved the recipe, as I only wanted to make 3 - but ended up with 6 large dumplings! Not complaining though! I added som fresh chopped parsley and a little ground black pepper. Delicious!

Jam Muffins

I made these muffins using raspberry jam. I lowered the time to 350 and they took about 23 mins. I made 6 by mixing the jam into the batter, and the other 6 with jam only in the middle. I prefered the ones with jam in the middle, the others were far too sweet foe me (and i'm a sugar addict!)They were easy to make and quite tasty but not my favorite recipe.

Crusty White Bread

One side of my loaf was much higher than the other. I have no idea what went wrong? Dough was really sticky compared to the "traditional white loaf" recipe on this site. Oh, & the ends were not very high either (really ugly looking! Tasted ok, nice crusty crust!

Grandma's Homemade Banana Bread

Best banana bread ever! This is a great recipe! It was so easy to do, couple of suggestions though - cream butter and sugar 1st so there are no lumps of butter. Sift all your dry ing seperately before mixing into the batter. I used skimmed milk as didnt have any sour milk (or lemons to make sour milk)but it still turned out great! Great easy recipe! My boyfriend and his co-workers raved about it! UPDATED(20th March).....As this was so good and was eaten so quick, I thought I would bake some more with extra for the freezer! This time I tried 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour and 1/2 whole wheat flour and 1 cup of white sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar. I added an extra banana too(last time I only had 2). I was too scared to substitute applesauce for the butter this time as I thought it might take away the richness, but would love to know if anyone has tried doing that to lessen the fat content??????

Traditional White Bread

My first time baking bread and I found this recipe so easy, thank you so much! I found it to be quite a heavy bread(which I like) rather than light and fluffy. Not sure if that was the recipe or me?! Loved it and will make again and again I am sure!

Classic Bran Muffins

These were ok, not as moist as some bran muffins I have had in the past. I didn't add the raisins - maybe that is why? I will try adding something to them next time for more flavor.

I thought that this was a good recipe. I made my own sauce, I think it couls use a little more than the recipe calls for, but thats my taste! I used about half the amount of mozarella , and it was still great. I put foil over the top of the pan for the first 20 minutes of cooking as I had seen this in some other recipes (helped to keep the cheese from becoming burnt I think) I added fresh garlic and basil as I think it improves the flavor.

Best Ever Muffins

These muffins were really tasty. I baked them just as the recipe said. I used 1 cup of shredded coconut in the batter. I then topped them off with some chopped pecans and more shredded coconut. Yummy! TIP - To get your batter to dome, preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. As soon as you put the muffin batter in the oven, reduce the heat to what the recipe says. The initial high heat causes the batter to have greater oven spring or the rapid rise during the first few minutes of baking.

These are the best muffins that I have ever made! I can't believe how moist they are. I only had two bananas so made 6 muffins. I added chopped pecans and also substituted rice milk, whole wheat flour & shortening. A must try!
