Went through 2 pitchers of this stuff for 4 drinkers! It was wonderful and refreshing. It is so important to let the fruit marinate in the rum and sugar for at least 2 hours. My second batch was much better. Thanks for the great recipe!
This recipe was easy and so flavorful! I had to make a few changes based on what I had on hand...1 pinch garlic powder instead of garlic pepper,a dash of garlic & herb flavor "Mrs. Dash", light mayonnaise, and marinated artichoke hearts. I stirred in 1 teaspoon of the artichoke oil from the jar just to get it to spread easier. I'm glad I did not add any salt, as it would have been way too salty! I also pounded the chicken nice and thin, it cooked fast and was tender. I will make this again! Thanks so much
This was just what I needed! I was craving rice pudding and was glad to be able to use what I had on hand. I cooked it exactly like the recipe, except I added two tiny sprinkles of cinnamon. I also had to substitute veg. oil spread instead of butter, but it still tasted delicious. I will never buy rice pudding again! Thanks for the great recipe.
The pork chops did not come out dry, however they had no flavor. I made the recipe exactly as indicated, I'm not sure what I could have done to give the chops more flavor.
Good flavor, super easy to make. I did not change anything about the recipe. I would have liked them to have more spice and much more kick, but my husband was content to dip them in hot sauce.
I've been making this for years! This cake always comes out perfectly moist, tastes like its from scratch entirely. My husband is obsessed with mountain dew-but allergic to coconut. I make the cake as the recipe indicates and I use store bought lemon icing. Thank you so much for the great recipe!
I prepared this savory type of spice rub just as the recipe listed, letting the chops sit overnight. When grilling, the flavors smelled amazing! The neighbors were poking their heads over the fence asking what was for dinner. The flavor was wonderful and zesty, however the texture was VERY DRY. Always the one to improvise, I put together a type of "aus jus" style sauce to cut and dip the chops in. It was made from a splash of chicken broth, barbecue sauce, worcestershire, and Red Hot. When we cut the chops and lighty dipped each bite, it made this recipe PERFECT!
I love this recipe! My mother used to make it for me as a kid. I kept trying to make it for days, trying all the techniques discussed in other reviews... eggs in hot water, warmed milk, still FLAT! Suddenly, I realized, the flour in my pantry has been there for a LONG time. Being a beginner cook, I decided to try new flour, that did the trick! Puffy and fabulous! I like mine served with a little butter and warm honey. I also prefer a sprinkling of cinnamon with the nutmeg and a splash of vanilla extract in the batter recipe. So easy and so good!
