This soup was perfect for a cold night. I followed the advise from some of the other reviews and added: beans, corn, garlic salt, a little extra buoillion, and cumin. I could have used a few extra tomatillos! We served it over brown rice with tortilla chips on the side.
This is currently our favorite thing for dinner! I have tried it with a few other sausage flavors, but Italian is by far the best. It is a large recipe and lasts several nights! I used rice noodles to make it Gluten free and the substitute worked out great.
We tried this for Thanksgiving this year and it was moist and delicious! We layered in celery and green onions for extra flavor and it paid off! We used (boneless) turkey breasts and left it on the high setting for about a half hour longer than the recipe calls for.
