I made these for Christmas gifts and everybody loved it. Very economical if your on a limited budget with lots to buy for and perfect for the person who has everything.
this was a big success at our Thanksgiving dinner. I have never made a cheesecake before and this was sooo easy. It will definately become a tradition
Very good!Very sweet! Best to not use any type of melon. It thickens a bit if it is chilled. Overall I would definately make it again and use with apples as a quick snack.
Mine had no crust and was hard to get out of the pie plate, but it had a good flavor. Reminded me of egg custard.
I've made this twice thinking it would come out better the second time but it didn't. Not really macaroni and cheese like I had expected, more of a macaroni casserole but still good.
This also good for fresh okra and yellow squash. Sometimes I mix yellow squash in with the zuchinni and onions. This is the only way my mom ever fixed these veggies when I was growing. True southern fare!
This was a great casserole recipe. Good for church potlucks. I didn't have a full 2 cups of cheddar so I used 1 cup of cheddar and 1 cup of fiesta blend cheese. I also didn't have any croutons so I used crushed townhouse crackers with melted butter to make a topping--so good. I might add chopped green chilis next time
This recipe definately needs more than 1 lb of ground beef,I used 1 1/2 and could have used more. It made lots of cheese and I added some italian seasoning for color. Make sure and use a deep dish. Good flavor first night but made dry leftovers.
This was the first time I had ever tried to make apple butter and it was soooo easy. It turned out great, even my mother in law raved. I cut the sugar down to 3 1/2 cups and added nutmeg. I will definately make this again and again....
I gave this as gifts to sunday school teachers, ballet instructor and so on. Perfect and got rave reviews. Best to use a wide mouth jar and pack well, I used the bottom of a glass to pack it down. I will use this again next year for gifts, can't get much easier.
i sometimes use shredded carrots and broccoli. I also use green onions. This is my Aunt Mary's traditional holiday salad, you can't go wrong with this one. Put it in a trifle bowl, looks great.
This has become a staple at most holiday gatherings--thanks for a great recipe
