Shiitake Angel Hair Pasta

We did this recipe exactly as described in the original recipe except we used Portabello shrooms instead (we could not find the shiitake at our local store). We also used 1/2 and 1/2 instead of the cream. I really prefer a full bodied sauce on my pasta and would probably double the sauce the next time we fix it. Thanks for the great recipe.

We absolutely loved this recipe!! As with most, we made a few modifications. We did not have the dark brown sugar or molasses, soe we used regular brown sugar and syrup. I love garlic and was very liberal with it. Because of our busy schedules, we had to postpone the meal an extra day (so it marinaded for two whole days). Oh my goodness!!! If there is any way you can soak it for two days, Make it so!! We also soaked the cedar planks for two days in water. This really kept them from catching fire. Using fresh minced ginger is the only way to go (used extra ginger too).

We could not find any salmon pate, so we just bought some chunked, bagged salmon and added it. I eventually want to try it with the pate, but as it was...it was delicious. We will definitely be having this again. We are adding it to our list of fav's.

Loved this recipe. It really went well over rice. If it were eaten by itself, would probably added a little flour to give the broth some body. We normally don't salt recipes, but definitely recommend it. We also left out the hot peppers. Was delicious. We also used both white and dark chicken instead of all white. Will definitely fix again.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Very yummy. We subbed celery with celery salt. We used canned ham instead of cubes and it was delicious. We would probably use more ham. We are fixing again this week but are swapping the ham for clams. Can't wait.

Rich Italian Sausage and Potato Soup

Delicious recipe!!! Good for warming the soul on a cold fall day! Was also excellent taking left overs the following day for lunch. Warms up nicely in microwave. The next time we make it i will probably take the italian sausage out of the skin and brown it instead of baking it in the oven. Over all delicious.

Very Delicious. We covered it for the first 20 minutes, then uncovered the last few minutes. We used the idea of including it all in aluminum foil and wrapping tightly. Perfection. Served over Basmati Rice.
