This recipe is awesome! I didn't have any egg noodles so I used macaroni instead also I scaled down the calorie content by making my own cream of chicken soup. I only made one serving because my family does not care for dishes like this. I think it is great because it taste like tuna helper without the box. I hate buying meals in boxes like that anyway.
Tastes great! I made a single serving before I make this mix for jars and/or gifts. I think it's a tad bit strong for my taste. I also thought it needed a tsp more sugar. But that was my taste. I used Swiss miss mix because I didn't have any other chocolate powder. I added a splash of almond milk (maybe 1/4 cup) after my initial taste test. Will definitely make again.
This recipe was easy to follow and very yummy. I only used 2 apples (saved the peels and cores) and made this on the stovetop rather than the slow cooker. It only needed about an hour on the stovetop. Then I placed it in a jar and water bath canned it.
My hubby said Whaat?? You made these?! (Fist bump, he totally thought I bought them!) These had a good taste. However the only thing that I would change is, to add the [shelf stable]Parmesan cheese at the end of baking time, the Parmesan cheese gets brown and I knew that it would but I added it before baking anyway. Will definitely not make that mistake again.
Pretty good. I wasn't convinced by the batter that this was going to work out, but it did. It was difficult to wrap the cones while they are hot (burnt fingers :( ). My family (hubby and kid) likes them also. Maybe if mine were pretty and golden we would have liked them better. Will probably try again.
These are great. However you don't want to preheat your oven first if you're going to cook the meat in a Dutch oven for 2.5 hours. The taste was great and my Hispanic hubby approves.
