I would have to agree that this cake is much too sweet. It sounded so good but a little piece went a long way .
Easy to make. Goes great with just about anything. I make it at the holidays for an added salad.
Everyone I shared with (because it did make a lot) thought it was great! I found the alphabet pasta in the ethnic Mexican section of the grocery store. The alpahbet pasta stated on the package it is a product of Mexico. I really liked the taste of the pasta.
The flavor was wonderful but I didn't like the consistency. It was too stiff and I didn't like the texture when eating it. Next time I will use 1 less box of jello and see how it turns out. If it's still too stiff I will use 2 less boxes. It has a tart taste but I liked that - a great side dish with so many things.
The frosting is what makes these rolls. I could not imagine one recipe of frosting not being enough but it's NOT - double the frosting!
WOW! Great summer slush!!! I omitted the sugar and used a diet lemon lime drink so I could add more peach schnapps. Everyone raved.
I really liked how different this salad was with the grated cauliflower. I thought the dressing was a little too sour from the amount of lemon juice - I may adjust that next time. I made homemade croutons and they looked great on this salad.
I too only made half a recipe since there were only 2 of us (had plenty for left overs!). I agree that you can tweak it according to your taste. I liked the beans mixed in. This made an eye appealing mexican dish.
I've made this stew many ways for years. I use a can of tomatoes instead of the juice cocktail. It's a stew that you can tweak to meet your taste buds but it turns out great each time.
Everyone thought this pie was good (strawberry pie is hard to beat). Being my own worst critic, I thought the glaze jelled a little to much so I might have cooked it to long? I probably decreased the sugar to much fearing it would be too sweet.
Thought this recipe was very bland so should have tasted the hamburger mixture and added extra spices. I used a combination of velvetta and cheddar cheese. I'll try making it again by reading suggestions from others.
WOW! This pie was not only easy, easy, easy but was one of the best tasting pies I have ever made. I made my own crust (since I do not like store bought). I used lite cherry pie filling and it was just about the right sweetness. Since I used lite pie filling I could splurge with putting ice cream on top of my piece. This recipe is a keeper!
