Japanese Noodle Salad

Traditionally, this salad is served cold. Mirin is a sweet wine that can be found in most asian grocery stores. I do not know of any substitute.

Watercress Salad

Here is one of my favorite ways to prepare watercress. This salad is definitely different but delicious. I highly recommend using cherry or grape tomatoes since they have a firm texture. The peanuts should be crushed and not left whole and don't leave out or substitute the ingredients if possible. The flavors are very strong due to the lime and fish sauce, so be prepared. The watercress does not have to be chopped up.

Steamed Brisket in Guinness

Here is a really yummy way to cook brisket. I like cooking mine overnight, so when you wake up the whole house smells divine. If desired, marinate brisket with rub several hours before cooking.

Blackberry Fool

Rating: 4 stars 10
I strongly recommend using fresh blackberries in this recipe for best flavor. Raspberries, strawberries or a combination of all 3 may be used, but they should all be fresh.

Lime and Ginger Tilapia

Tilapia is one of my favorite types of fish due to it's mild flavor. It cooks quickly so pay close attention while broiling. The ginger and lime pair nicely in this dish.

Japanese Fried Ginger Flavored Chicken

Serve this delicious chicken with hot rice. The longer you allow the chicken to marinate, the better it will taste. Cook time does not include marinating.

Peanut Butter Spread

This is a quick spread I use on toast, ciabatta or whatever bread I have on hand. I sometimes add sliced bananas on top.
