Homemade Mince Pie with Crumbly Topping

Rating: 4.5 stars 14
This pie has no meat in it (it's a 'mock' mincemeat pie). It doesn't use mincemeat mixes or prepared pie crusts. It's homemade, like ma (or grandma) used to make. Enjoy it! I made it for my father for Father's Day (he loves mince pie).

Peanut Butter Pie X

Chef John's Easter Bread

Rating: 4.5 stars 12
If you were lucky enough to grow up in an Italian-American home, there's a good chance you got to enjoy the smell of freshly baked Easter bread, with its unmistakable anisette aroma filling the air. This loaf of Easter bread is one of my favorite holiday traditions, and an authentic family heirloom recipe; made the same way as my mother, and her mother, and her mother's mother made it. I hope you give this a try, and remember, it's never too late to start an old family tradition. Frost with pink icing and top with sprinkles!

Pecan Turtles Bars

These turtle bars are easy and delicious.

Lime Bars

Rating: 4.5 stars 106
A different take on the lemon bars we all love. I actually prefer them to lemon. This is my favorite bar cookie and I'm asked to bring it when going to a potluck or picnic. The recipe says it serves 36, but you can't eat just one of these delicious, tangy lime bars. You can omit the glaze and sprinkle with powdered sugar if that's your preference.

Easy Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles

Rating: 4.5 stars 51
I made some changes to a recipe that we found in our Taste of Home subscription that was somewhat bland. It has become a favorite. I am asked to make these truffles for EVERY occasion - even for other family members to take to work or other celebrations!

Sugar Plum No-Bake Cookies

Rating: 4 stars 30
This is a no-bake Christmas cookie that is a must-have in my family during the holidays. Having the clove to suck on at the end is the best part! They are delicious and pretty, not to mention simple to make. Everyone hears about sugar plums at Christmas, but nobody knows what they are! Kids LOVE these. Be sure to remove the whole clove before giving to small children however.
