This is one of my favorites, but I make a few modifications. Most importantly I always always use FRESH green beans (my family likes them crunchy so I do not steam them fully beforehand). We also omit the onion, cut back the salt, add extra cheese, and will sometimes use fried onion crumbles in place of the cracker topping. There is never any of this left over- it disappears almost immediately! Thank you (and your grandma!) for such a great dish!
This came out really bland. I ended up adding garlic and about triple the soy sauce and Dijon and the end result was ok.. definitely not what I'd hoped for, but not awful.
