I actually did the strawberry rhubarb recipe. The only change I made was to use 1/2 a tablespoon of Cinnamon. It was awesome. Everyone loved it.
Awesome! I sauted garlic, chopped onions and a chopped fresh hot pepper from the garden. I made the sauce as directed but cooked it a little longer, I also added a little more wine at the end. For fish, I used shrimp, bay scallops and chopped clams. I served it over linguini. Simple, quick and delicious. This recipe is a keeper!!
Excellent starter soup. I would make it as is if I was sick and had a hard time eating. I almost never have that problem. I made it using chicken stock and added mushrooms, carrots and celery. I used some spices and linguisa. The sausage gave the broth a rich flavor. I will definitely make this again!
This is my Mom’s basic recipe and it’s fantastic ( I did grow up eating these). I play a little with the recipe now. I sometimes use a mixture of beef, veal and pork. Sometimes I use a mixture of basil and parsley. It’s all good! I actually like them better when they aren’t in the tomato sauce. Very tasty and addictive.
