Family liked the recipe, however the apple filling was a bit bland. If I make it again, I'll add some of my own spices to the filling, or a different fruit. Eat with ice cream!
A great low-fat recipe! Could use more chicken, or less pasta. Very tomatoey, but the fresh basil was great!
Makes a very large cake, and tastes like flour! When I flipped the cake the whole topping stuck to the pan, so i had to scrape it off and spread it back on! The only way my family would eat it was with custard or ice cream. Will not make again.
Well they were chewy for about 2 days, but only in the centre. After that, the milk didnt even soften them! And I did refridgerate the dough for an hour before baking..helped a bit for non-flattening cookies, but nothing special. Moms homemade are better!
Turned out pretty good, my husband and I both enjoyed it. Changed a few things based on other reviews...added 1 1/2 tsp curry powder, 1 clove minced garlic, 1/8 tsp chili powder, and I topped the chicken with sliced onions. I used chili powder instead of cayenne because that's what I had! I also used chicken breasts instead and covered with foil for 30 min, then uncovered for 20. If you feel ambitious like I did, spoon sauce over chicken a few times in the last 20 minutes. I served this with rice and green beans on the side. Will make again! TIP: Do not taste the unlabelled chili powder to check...my tongue almost fell off!!
I liked this recipe, although it was more like a soup than a stew...there was so much liquid and it was runny, not thick like a stew should be. But, it had great flavor and the whole family liked it! I've made it two or three times now, and there's so much it lasts for at least 2 days!
Good recipe, a little bit sweet...might need something to take down the sweetness. Goes great served with mashed potatoes.
Very good recipe! Based on other reviews I changed a few things though. I added 4 cloves of minced garlic, another can of Italian diced tomatoes, 2 leaves or fresh chopped basil, added a whole onion, added a diced yellow and a diced orange bell pepper, added a few more sliced mushrooms and I didn't add any cheese. The family loved it and I will definately make it again! Thanks for the recipe!
Didn't really like this recipe...the main flavor was ketchup! I thought it should've been more tomatoey and less sweet. I used real onion and garlic, and also added the tsp of chili powder. Don't think I will be making this one again.
Very yummy recipe! I found using only 5 tortillas was better, I didn't have enough filling for 6! As with other reviewers I let the topping sit for a while to become a bit thicker, and then spooned it over the tortillas. I also baked them for 40 minutes and they turned out beautifully...nice and crispy and goes great with ice cream! They were gone so fast I didn't get a chance to take a picture until the next batch! Oh and try adding different fillings, like cherry (mm mm gooood)!
Loved this recipe, it was delicious! I doubled the marinade though and added my veggies to it, to sit for about 1 and a 1/2 hours. Veggies I added were tomatoes, onions, mini potatoes, and one of each color of bell pepper. I also lightly oiled the bbq as suggested by someone else, and they turned out great. I will definately be maing this one again...yummy and so easy!
Wasn't overly impressed with this recipe... I prefer the honey-dijon on chicken rather than fish!
