Edible Inner Tubes

This is an excellent recipe that is low-fat and healthy. The tuna has just the right almount of tange. I used regular Italian dressing which is healthier than creamy dressings. If you do want a creamy tuna sandwich add a little non-fat yogurt. For another healthy alternative put the tuna in a tortilla or pita and add veggies and/or chickpeas to make it hearty.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

The perfect soft cookie. It is a little buttery, but that's what helps to make it soft. My husband and his friends loved these and they are perfect to give away because they stay soft.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

It tasted great! The only problem is, the stuffing comes out a little jello-ie because of all the liquid. Next time I might reduce the amount of liquid.

Spiced Butternut Squash Soup

This is soup is absolutely amazing!! My boyfriend even loved it and he doesn't do veggies. I did make a few alterations after reading other reviews, recipes, and what items I had in my house. I used a butternut squash and an acorn squash. Then I replaced one of the potatoes with a sweet potato. I used all of the broth the recipe called for and I think next time I will add another 3/4 cup because of the extra squash I added. I doubled the spices including the cayenne pepper and then added a dash of curry powder (we like a little zing). I love lots of flavor and this is restaurant quality flavor!!!

It's Chili by George!!

This is a great chili by itself or if you like to experiment. I've made this recipe as is and it was very good! The next time I changed a couple things... I used about half the amount of tomato juice, replaced the white sugar with brown sugar, and left out the green peppers (my bf doesn't like them). To add some more spice and experiment I added spicy Italian sausage, red pepper flakes, and a dash of cocoa powder. I gave this 5 starts because even though I changed a few things, it was the original recipe that was the foundation.

Chicken and Red Wine Sauce

My boyfriend and I loved this recipe. I was worried my bf might not like the sauce because he isn't a big red wine fan, but he thought it was great. I didn't have paprika, so I sprinkled a little cayenne pepper on the chicken because I seem to think it's a good substitute for paprika and we like a little kick. Then I used about 3/4 cup of brown sugar (as others have suggested) but I think a cup would still taste great. This is a fabulous recipe and a great way to use some not-so-good red wine. I will definitely make this again and next time I'm going to add some mushrooms.

Leftover Turkey Casserole

This is a super delicious way to use leftovers. Of course it all depends on how good the food was at the original meal. We had very tasty leftovers, so making it into a great tasting casserole was easy.

Stir-Fried Chicken With Pineapple and Peppers

I thought it was bland and lacked any distinctive flavor. I was confused about adding the pineapple with or without the juice. I added the juice with the pineapple and perhaps that is what watered down the sauce. Another reviewer said she was also confused and did not add the juice, but we both came to the same conclusion, not enough flavor. Not sure what I did wrong, but would be willing to try again if the instructions were clear on the pineapple juice.
