so so so so good! this is my favorite recipe i've found so far on this site. my boyfriend says it tastes "gourmet". so much flavour! i recommend this to anyone. i believe this recipe would really impress any guests. you can adjust the spiciness by adjusting the amt of red chili.
This is my first time making artichokes and theses were sooooo amazing and easy. The grilling really does make a difference. These were better than I've had in a restaurant, and my boyfriend said they were the best he's had in his whole life. I used more garlic and shallot than called for and it turned out great. A tip to keep your artichokes under water while boiling is to invert a steamer on top of them. Serve as well with mayonaise and fresh lemon wedges for a variety. Oh, and by the way, a great way to remove the choke is to use a grapefruit spoon (if you have it)- it's easy to get it out whole that way! Hope this helps!
This recipe was easy- especially since I used frozen meatballs as suggested by the others. The taste was good, but not exceptional, however my guests liked it very much (especially the kids). I was hoping they'd be a bit spicier. The next day, I mixed it with some tabasco sauce and warmed it up for a meatball sub (with grated mozza) and it was very good that way.
Amazing! Great taste and very authentic. I used this on a hoisin orange chicken bites at a dinner party and received great reviews on the sauce. I also used this recipe as a base for the sauce on a cold asian noodle salad by just adding some fresh lime juice to thin it out. This is such a versatile sauce that would go with most asian dishes.
It may be my own personal taste, but i did not like the pimentos in it- it tasted too "jarred" in a recipe I expected to taste very fresh. I wanted to like this recipe so much, but just was not impressed at all by the flavour. (I love basil!)
Very tasty. I made some with cubed chicken, and some vegetarian, and instead of the canned corn, I had a frozen veggie medley with corn, black beans, and peppers. I also added cilantro because I love that flavour. I have to admit that I did get kinda sick of them because it makes so much (and its just my boyfriend and I) so I would suggest halving the recipe unless you have a big family to eat it all. Also, if you can, I would suggest heating in the oven. They can get kinda soggy in the microwave.
This is my first turkey burger and it was very good! I didn't have any cumin, but otherwise i followed it exactly and it turned out great- mediumly spicy and very flavourful. I served on a bun with mayo and "cucumbers sunomo" also from this site. The cucumbers were great on it, and very easy. I recommend this recipe!
Great! So filling and delicious- very flavorful. Definitely save some fresh basil to garnish for the fresh basil taste. My boyfriends loves it- he had thirds! Great the next day too!
Amazing. Had a HUGE piece of salmon for my boyfriend and I. Doubled the marinade, and cooked it in the glass dish (no need to use the tin foil). So flavorful, but not overpowering. My boyfriend absolutely raved about it and that HUGE salmon was gone in one meal. The best way to prepare salmon hands down.
GREAT!!! This is the best with your grilled meats in the summer. I tried it as written, then made my tweaks. New potatoes (red or white) are the best. Added crushed fresh garlic instead of powder, and grilled both the skin and the "flesh" until nicely browned and crunchy on the outside. In my opinion, there's no need to drizzle the remaining oil afterwards, it tastes great as is. Make sure to add a little salt on top while they're still warm. Made this for a family barbeque, and got rave reviews. Easy to make-ahead- just pre-cook the potatoes and store in fridge with oil mixture until ready to use, then grill. UPDATE 8/19/10 I tried this basic method with sweet potatoes, cut in thick slices. YUM! Fresh Garlic and Rosemary are the best!
Easy and great tasting! We loved it.
Made it this thanksgiving and everyone loved it! They barely touched the regular pumpkin pie because everyone wanted to try the cheesecake. Used a water bath. It came out pretty good, but next time I think I'd let it cook an extra 10 minutes or so to be a bit firmer.
