Skoo

I was born in small town Alberta, Canada where I was raised on good ol' meat and potatoes (gotta love Alberta beef!). Good food has always been a part of my life. Growing up, my mom, grandma, and I enjoyed cooking together, and I have many fond memories of cooking and baking with them. My mom always makes great comfort food, and always made our family the dishes we requested- even when she didn't like them! She hates lasagne, but somehow managed to make the best lasagne ever.

Grilled Chicken with Rosemary and Bacon

Rating: 4.5 stars 351
This recipe goes together so easy with minimal prep. Chicken breasts with garlic powder, bacon, and rosemary are grilled. What could be better? I'm always thinking up easy rosemary recipes, since my yard has 5 huge bushes of rosemary! Enjoy!

Cheater's Fancy Smoked Salmon Fettucine Alfredo

Pre-made alfredo sauce combines with smoked salmon, capers, and fresh tomatoes in a dish that tastes like more effort than it takes.

Zucchini-Apple Wheat Bran Muffins

Apple and zucchini lend moistness to these hearty muffins with whole wheat flour and a hint of bran. It's good any time of day- Breakfast, Lunch, or anytime snack. This recipe is easily substituted: try adding chocolate chips, walnuts, etc or carrots instead of the zucchini, or sub a portion of the oil for applesauce. The possibilities are endless!

Mexican Fried Rice

This is a Tex-Mex style rice that's a snap to cook up! I created this recipe because I was making some burritos and wanted to use up some cooked rice I had in the fridge. It was so good in the burritos, I used twice as much rice as meat!

Love pumpkin pie? Why not have the flavour you love at breakfast? This slightly sweet spiced oatmeal will cure your craving with no guilt! You can adjust spices and sugar to personal preference. This is a great way to use up leftover pumpkin from other recipes.

Double Chocolate Banana Bread

A moist, rich, dense double chocolate banana bread. I developed this recipe for my chocoholic boyfriend who complains when there's nothing chocolate in the house. This recipe makes two loaves, eat one now and freeze the other for later!

Sasha's Caesar Chicken Pizza

This pizza is so easy but very impressive and a nice change from everyday pizza. Chicken, bacon, sausage, and mushrooms go perfectly with caesar dressing instead of pizza sauce. You can use pre-cooked chicken and bacon to save even more time. My family and friends love it and I know you will too!
