Our busy family of 5 eats a Plant Based Diet (basically vegan with no oil or sugar, and only whole grains). With school, sports and scouts there is not much time for cooking. I try to make 4-5 main dishes a week and have left overs for lunches.

My kids love these. These bars make an easy (my kids actually make them) wholesome inexpensive snack for taking to school . Since my daughter cant have nuts in her food at school due to classmate allergies we substitute roasted unsalted soybeans for the walnuts which gives a great crunch and some added protein.
