Awesome Roast Beef

This was good, but it really needed more kick. I would add some Lipton Onion Soup mix next time. Definitely was more like Pot Roast. I bought my meat from my normal butcher but it just didn't fall apart. One last thing...my potatoes didn't cook through all the way as the liquid didn't cover them throughout. Thanks a lot for posting. It was good, but I would probably change a bit.

Incredible recipe. We were out all day at soccer games...cool, brisk weather. Came home to wonderful smells and beef that literally fell apart. My kids couldn't get enough and they are 5 and 8. Quite a feat. This is a keeper.

I made this for Thanksgiving dinner as the second pie...first was pumpkin. No one like it. It just didn't taste that good. Sorry.

Southern Candied Sweet Potatoes

This was terrific. Made for Thanksgiving. Even those in the group that didn't like sweet potatoes took second servings. I cooked ahead of time and then put in a casserole dish for a half hour on low temp during the last minutes of the turkey. That way was able to enjoy happy hour with family instead of slaving over the stove!

Absolutely incredible. This is the second year I have made this, and everyone loves. I use a fresh turkey...this year a 21 pounder. Wow!

Field Salad

I thought this was really a nice salad. I used the Newman's light raspberry vinagrette, as recommended, and also tossed in some raisins. As for the amounts of everything...I just put in what I wanted instead of following the directions. That way it was just as I wanted. I almost gave this a five star rec. But, it just didn't quite get there. I really wanted more color in the salad. Sounds silly, but it wasn't as pretty as I like :>.

Best Ever Muffins

I made these for Christmas morning and they were incredible. I used 7-8 slices of bacon and a little over 1 cup of shredded cheddar as my adders. The muffins have a slightly sweet taste to them and put together with the cheese and bacon...yummy. I served with scrambled eggs on the side.

9/5/11 still as yummy as ever. used cream of chicken soup this time instead of cream of mushroom...my kids have decided they don't like mushrooms. Came out just as great. Not an original idea though...another reviewer suggested. I made very close to what the recipe called for...except I only needed 1 cup of the bread crumbs. They were delicious! I also add some fresh mushroom slices as recommended and this was nice. 9/22/09 made this again and it just so good. great comfort food.

This was terrific just as the recipe was written. Served with "my chili" (recipe by Michelle) for a football playoff game (we lost :<) and both were a hit!

My Chili

This is a great recipe. I liked it because you could really make it your own...by following other raters' suggestions. I hadded a packet of chili seasoning, some Emerils Essence, some frozen home grown tomatoes, some extra stewed tomatoes...it came out great. I think it definitely needed more juice, tomatoes, something...to make not as thick. Just my preference! Make this one and play. Served with homesteader cornbread as suggested.

This was just ok...didn't have enough flavor. I expected more, as did my family. We kept adding salt. We didn't save the leftovers.

This was good and very, very easy. I'd compare it to a one pot casserole type of dish that you bake in the over for an hour. Not a five star but still good...and like I said, easy goes a long way.
