Excellent! Used black-eyed peas instead of cannelli since that is all I had. Also used dry cilantro...would have been tastier with fresh. Substituted Splenda for the sugar and only used 1/4 c. olive oil. Since my family isn't crazy about onions, I only used about 1/2 a red onion and minced it instead of chopping it. Was served with blue corn tortilla chips...it disappeared FAST!
Pretty good but not fantastic. May make again for a potluck or bbq. Others liked it (it went pretty quickly) but my husband and kids didn't care for it much.
Very salty for our taste...maybe use smaller pieces of ham next time? Overall pretty good. Will try again.
Yummy! My enitre family LOVES this (including 3 kids)! I substituted lite soy sauce, flour, and a mixture of Splenda and a little brown sugar since that is what I had on hand. It turned out perfect! I will definitely be making this again!
These muffins were great and the kids LOVED them...even with my wacky substitutions. I really tried to make these a tad healthier so instead of brown sugar I mixed Splenda and sugar free pancake syrup (1 c. Splenda/1/4 cup syrup). I used Silk soymilk instead of regualr because one of my kiddos has a milk allergy. I used wheat germ instead of wheat bran-I don't know if these are the same thing or not? I used 1 c. deflated soy flour instead of regular flour (I try and stay away from regular flour whenever possible). Once I started mixing everything together I realized I didn;t have any eggs so I sub'd 4 tbsp cornstarch (I would have just added more banana if I had it). I was really surprised at how tasty these were. They did not have a cupcakey texture like the original but I think if I cooked it for longer at a lower temp they might have gotten that way. If these are good I am sure the original ones are awesome! Thanks for the recipe!
This didn't do much for me. It was very salty. The breading fell off the chicken everytime I turned it over...I wound up with a pan full of breading and a plate full of naked chicken. Taste was just ok. Sorry.
This was a huge hit! I added lemon zest for a little more zing. I froze one batch into popcicles and the kids devoured them! Thank you!
absolutely delicious! I substituted vanilla soymilk for milk & vanilla and Splenda for the sugar. yummy!!
This was so yummy. The kids really enjoyed it. Definitely use a high quality cheese. I only had the bagged shredded cheese and it didn't melt as well as it should. Next time I make it I will use a better cheese-maybe only 1-1 1/2 cups though. Thanks for a great recipe!
This soup is awesome! I did not cook the chicken breasts before adding them to the pot and they cooked thoroughly and shredded easily. I used diced tomatoes w/ green chilies in place of the whole tomatoes because that's what I had on hand. I cut back on the onions and used a little less than half of the chili powder and omitted the green chilies entirely (because of the kids) To compensate, I used 4 cloves of minced garlic and a bit more cumin. It still had a little kick but everyone enjoyed it. This one's a keeper!
These were a huge hit with my family! I had to cook it a bit longer but we really used alot of stuffing. The center was a bit gooey but no one seemed to mind. I think next time I will lower the temp a bit and increase cooking time. These would be great packed in a lunchbox. I will try the other suggestions and try different lunchmeat/cheese combinations. Thanks!
