The recipe is awesome! And the sauce, YUMMY!...no more bottled stuff for us! My 6 year old kept eating it by the spoonful. Made it exactly as written. Next time I will make more of everything to store in the freezer. Thanks for sharing!
I am not really a big fan of green bean casseroles in general so I am no expert but I think this one is certainly better than the traditional stand-by. My guests seemed to really enjoy it and the bowl was emptied. Next time a gb casserole is requested, I will certainly bring this one! Thanks!
We grilled our chops instead of baking and they were outstanding! I seasoned and marinated them overnite. After grilling, I reserved some sauce and we spooned it over the meat and rice...DE-LISH! I have 3 kids and all loved it. The little one however, did not care for the sauce added after cooking (he thought it was too 'spicy'. Will make again & again! Thanks!
This was soo yummy! I did use chicken stock instead of the boullion cubes/water and added white pepper and tobasco for more kick. Will make again!!
De-lish! I did cut back on the rosemary a tad (my preference) but followed everything else. Husband loved it! Thanks for a great recipe!
My husband loved this dish but the kids thought it was a bit spicy. I could not find the cheese spread w/ jalapeno so I used a few slices of the canned and chopped it in with the broccoli. Will probably leave out the jalapenos next time so everyone can enjoy.
Everyone loved this! I was cooking for a large group so I doubled the meat portion (12 chops) and quadrupled the gravy ingredients which ended up being 2 cans of cream of mushroom w/ garlic, 1 can regular cream of mushroom, and 1 can of cream of chicken & mushroom (that's what I had on hand). I seasoned the 1/2" boneless chops with Natures Seasoning and garlic pepper and reduced the cook time to 45 minutes. It was a huge hit!
I really don't care for lima beans but was hoping this recipe would change my mind--it didn't. :( My kids, however, seemed to like them pretty well. They ate these just about as well as the canned. Since this is not something we all enjoy, I will probably stick with the canned.
Excellent! I did make a couple of changes though. I used fresh black eyed peas and cooked them in 1/2 beef broth and 1/2 water (do not use the recipe's water measurements--way to much water!). I only used 1 onion (b/c that's all I had) and 1 tsp onion powder. I substituted 2 cloves of fresh minced garlic for the powder. My can of tomatoes were petite diced w/ bell pepper, celery, & onion. I like my beans with a bit of a kick so I also added cajun seasoning. I only used about 1.5 cups of ham because that's all I had on hand. Everyone loved it...even the kids! De-lish!
Pretty tasty. A great light summertime salad or snack. I used 2 tbsp of cider vinegar and 2 tbsp of regular because I like the bit of extra bite it gives. I also used splenda instead of sugar and extra virgin olive oil instead of vegetable oil...will cut this down to 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil next time. Used dried dill but it would have bees so much better with fresh!
One of the absolute best salads I have ever eaten! Used a bit more cranberries and almonds than called for because they tasted so good in the salad. Also used I can't beleive it's not butter to toast the almonds and extra virgin olive oil to make it a bit healthier.
Very good. Kids loved it. I personally would have liked a bit more spice/flavor...maybe chopped onions or green peppers? I used splenda and fat free sour cream for a healthier dish.
