Campfire Banana Splits
This was a recipe from my old Girl Scouting days. A very easy recipe for all ages that needs little adult supervision. Great for sleep-overs and backyard camping trips.
Cream Cheese Mints
These seem to be everyone's favorite holiday candy recipe. Could be the melt in your mouth texture, or perhaps the sweet peppermint taste. Could also be the fact that this is the easiest candy recipe around! If stored in airtight container, these can be frozen for a couple months. These can also be made into pretty shapes by rolling in granulated sugar, pressing into candy molds, and dropping them out.
Looking for an eye-catching appetizer to dress up a dinner party or fun fall gathering? They don't come much cuter than the fanciful hard-cooked egg 'toadstools' pictured here. Capped with cherry tomatoes, these tasty morsels always delight family and friends, says creator Sue Cravatta of Elmwood Park, Illinois. 'They couldn't be easier to make, and my kids get the biggest kick out of them. They gobble the toadstools up-and even eat the spinach 'grass' I display them on,' she relates. You could also add a trail of whimsical raisin 'ants' around the base for extra nutrition and fun!

Seven Layer Gelatin Salad
Don't wait until the last minute to make this recipe. Each layer has to set before the next one is added.
Originally known as ermine icing or butter roux icing, you can change up the flavor with any extract you want to try. I love adding peppermint extract for a pop of holiday flavor.
