These were just so YUMMY! They got even better with a few days age. I took another members suggestion and added 1 tsp. of celery seed and 1/2 tsp of ground mustard. I made another 1/2 batch(recipe cut in half)of the juice. Just cause I thought it needed more liquid. Thanks for the recipe. Will be making these again very soon. I gave so many jars away I am almost out.
Perfect recipe. A definite keeper! Thanks so much.
Great recipe. A definite keeper for my recipe box.
Good recipe. I tweeked with it a little bit for personal taste.
Wasn't much of a brownie as it was a cake. It needed some sort of frosting on top. Very plain. It just wasn't what I anticipated.
Great tasting popsicle if you can get them out of the popsicle molds. This recipe made an even dozen and so far we were only able to get 2 out successfully. But all in all a good recipe. My 2 girls loved it!
These aren't gonna last long in my freezer! Thanks for the new additional to my recipe box!
Not bad. I used to buy these at a Snack Bar in my high school cafeteria a few years back. They were the best! These weren't quite the same...a little too sugary and the dough was very stiff. I will make them again but use 3 cups of sugar instead of 4.
I made this for my husbands birthday and everyone liked it. My only complaint was that it didn't raise very much. I added a 1/4 cup of finely chopped nuts into the batter before I poured it. I used 2-8 inch round pans and used banana cream pudding between the layers and frosted it with cool whip. HINT: Use 1/2 a package of instant pudding(I used banana) pour it in cool whip container and mix very well. Makes a GREAT topping for any cake. I also sprinkled cake with finely chopped walnuts.
Prepared as is and it was delicious! Thanks for the recipe. Will defintely make again.
Made this instead of my usual Stove-Top stuffing for this years dinner. It tasted a little mushy to me but that is my personal opinion. No one complained...so all in all it was okay. Thanks for sharing.
Made these for this years Thanksgiving dinner. Sauce was a little runny so I added a little corn starch to thicken it up and that seemed to work. I also added a few drops of honey cause it just seemed to lack a little something to me. Recipe didn't specify which type of brown sugar to use so I used dark but next time I will try light brown. Thanks for sharing.
