This was really good...I changed it a bit by substituting a diced apple for the raisins, left out the almonds (although I think it sounds good...I was just out), and I only used 1/4 C sugar. Also, instead of using the red onions raw, I cooked them in the bacon grease until they were just tender; that way they werent too overwhelming. My father in law who hates broccoli, loved this salad!
This was a great recipe! I added potatoes and green beans in addition to doubling the veges. The dough for the biscuits was stickey, but turned out perfect. Also, I used 1/2 tsp garlic powder in the biscuits and a tablespoon on dried parsley instead of the basil.
These were perfect! Omitted the peppermint, but otherwise, wouldnt change a thing!
Excellent when warm with butter and honey! I used all raisin bran cereal and half white sugar, half brown sugar as other reviewers suggested. Will definitely make again.
