Apple Crisp

I made this for my family tonight....it was pretty good, I took the advise of others and reduced the sugar on the apples, but I wished I had left it according to the recipe, as it was a little tart. I doubled the topping. Overall it was very tasty. I should have used the water, I used about 1/8 cup, and should have stuck to the recipe? I doubled the crust, glad I did that. Will definitely make it again! Thanks for the recipe!!

I decided to make this recipe for a family reunion this weekend. Made it last night....couldn't resist tasting it this morning. It is AWESOME, I'm positive will be a big hit at the reunion. I used 3 packages of graham crackers tho, and I put it in the freezer, so we'll see how it turns out? Otherwise, followed the recipe the rest of the way through. Putting frosting in the microwave was a great idea, thanks to you who posted that hint. Thanks for the recipe, it is mighty tasty AND a KEEPER!! **************************** Family reunion over...I came home with an empty pan!! Definitely a hit, and I"M glad I had my piece BEFORE I took it, otherwise by the time I got through the line my dessert was gone!! By the time we traveled to our destination, dessert was thawed and perfect. So this is a real good make ahead to take dessert to a pot luck.

All-Day Apple Butter

I made this recipe and it's just wonderful! I did not go to all the work of peeling my apples tho, I washed them, cut them into quarters and then put them into my dutch oven, added about 1 cup of water and 2 T. of lemon juice, covered, and brought to a boil... turned them down and simmered or cooked slowly until apples were done. Then I ran them through my seive. I did not measure the weight of the apples, I just filled the crock pot up with apple sauce. After I had my applesauce, then I added Splenda blend and the spices. I added according to taste, a little more cinnamon, and about 2 cups of splenda blend. The sugar amount really depends on how tart your apples are, so if you have sweeter apples, don't add too much sugar or splenda! It also is a personal preference as to how sweet you like your apple butter. I"ve got my 2nd batch going now, been cooking all night. I put my first batch in 1/2 pint jars and boil water bath for 15 minutes. All sealed almost immediately after removing from canner. Great recipe, and sure nice not to have to worry about scorching it. Thanks so much, you've made my life MUCH EASIER!

Brownie Caramel Pecan Bars

These were absolutely WONDERFUL! I made them for a family reunion.. brought home an empty pan!! I used twice the caramels tho because we love caramel. I had to bake longer than the recipe stated...used the toothpick test to check if done. Best to make a day ahead of time so the chocolate and caramel have a chance to set up firm. Will definitely be making these again! Thanks for the great recipe.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies IV

These are very tasty cookies. I doubled the recipe, and substituted half of the sugar with the new splenda bake sugar. Turned out great! Nice dough to work with, very soft and not crumbly at all. Even doubling it, I only ended up with 4 dozen plus 3 more cookies... so 51 cookies in all. I used my cookie scoop too. So I"M not sure how anyone could get 4 dozen out of a single recipe? I used Nestles white chocolate chips, a bag and a can of Macadamia nuts. I will definitely make these again, thanks for the recipe!

WELL.. it looks good, smells great, nice and moist, deep dark chocolate cake. BUT I had a tiny little problem and I"m sure it's all my own doings? Instead of milk I added a cup of cream and my cake fell. hehehehe Next time I will follow the directions better and not try to add to it on my own. I am going to put a piece of cake in the bowl, a scoop of icecream and drizzle with hot fudge!! YUMMM

DELICIOUS! 22 hours was too long, it was done in about 14 hours. My guests were raving about the delicious beef sandwiches. My friends begged to help eat the leftover's the next day (rather than go out to a restaurant), so I added about 1 cup of water to the left over's, and cooked a bag of homemade egg noodles....poured the beef and juice over the noodles, and topped with sour cream, stirred it up and .. that made a tasty beef strogonoff... again, delicious. Both meals I served a corn and bean pickled salad, and hard rolls. YUMM, A Definite KEEPER!! THANKS! If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would give it a 10!!
