LouBelle

I'm someone who loves to see her family enjoy new recipes tried from AllRecipes! I am addicted to spicy food. I especially love Tex-Mex, Mexican, French cuisine, and other cuisines from around the world. I am currently interested in learning more about cuisine from the Southern US. I also just finally bought a slow cooker and am looking forward to trying the next meal in that.

I have never made a Ceasar dressing myself before, and this recipe made for a pretty food first! I would make it in advance though for the garlic flavour to permeate more, as we had leftovers the next day and it tasted even better. Loved it and will use this recipe again.

This was a real hit in our house and we will definitely have it again! I mixed some of the sour cream into the salsa before baking. It is such an easy dish yet so tasty!!

This was super quick, super easy and super tasty! I kept some of the mix separate before adding the pepper, as my kids don't like spicy. My boy who is usually a picky eater gobbled up his shrimps, despite never having had shrimp before. Next time I may try it with prawns, and may try with raw rather than pre-cooked as like another user mentioned, it is easy for pre-cooked to become a bit rubbery. Tip: Double the sauce ingredient measurements.

Broccoli Salad

I love this salad, it's a tasty way for me to eat raw broccoli! I reduce the amount of sugar to just 2-3 Tbsps. The onion does mellow out, and I love making a big batch and having this salad the day or two after. Make sure the bacon is tasty to add a kick.

Great recipe!! As a substitute for corn syrup, I used 2-3 tbsp of Golden Syrup and 1 Tsp of molasses, but these were lovely! I also baked for 12 minutes, and while they did spread a bit, they stayed whole and the end consistency was exactly how I like: cruncy on the outide but not completely brittle inside. Best I've made to date, definitely saving the recipe for next Christmas! I would say do make sure to allow sufficient space around them on the baking tray to avoid spreading into each other, but I found the flour ration was just fine.

I made this and the whole family loves it. I used slightly less sugar - 2 1/2 cups, and added a pinch of nutmeg and dash of cinnamon (I can never resist adding those to anything chocolate I bake)! Those aren't necessary modifications however, just my taste. Great recipe, will make again.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Made it twice now and it comes out a charm - super easy recipe with little room for error, and my whole family loves it! Second time I sprinkled chocolate into the mix and it was very tasty. I love the texture the cornflour gives. I didn't have buttermilk but used the juice of about half a lemon mixed in with milk and left to sit 5 minutes, and the recipe works fine with that. Highly recommend this recipe!
