Folks, any time is turkey time. Let's free ourselves from the tyranny that relegates turkey to the Thanksgiving table alone. Turkey breast has so much to offer for everyday weeknight meals. It's lean, it's large, and turkey breast's relatively neutral flavor lets it accommodate any number of preparations. It loves a sauce, it loves the slow cooker, it's just so versatile, and it's a great excuse to eat mashed potatoes and gravy. Frankly, turkey breast is a no brainer for delicious family dinners any day of the year. Here are some of our favorite recipes.

1. Slow Cooker Mediterranean Roast Turkey Breast

Simply simmer a boneless turkey breast with kalamata olives, sun-dried tomatoes, Greek seasoning, and chicken broth brightened with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. And if you like, make a couple quick adjustments: "I added hot pepper rings for spice and a can of garbanzo beans," says Pam. "Near the end I added a can of artichoke hearts. Excellent!"

2. The Hot Brown

Turkey, bacon, Pecorino Romano cheese, and a simple, creamy mornay sauce. This is not your average hot turkey sandwich. "The broiled turkey-breast Hot Brown was invented at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky to absorb the bourbon that guests would enjoy well into the night," says Chef John.
