And the chicken is marinated in jalapeño buttermilk.

Taco Bell's constant innovations for new (and occasionally wacky) dishes shows no signs of slowing down in 2020. The fast food chain just announced their latest addition: Crispy Tortilla Chicken.

According to Taco Bell, these all-white meat tenders are marinated in a jalapeño-buttermilk mixture before being coated in crunchy crushed tortilla chips and then fried. You can order the Crispy Tortilla Chicken in two ways, as a tender box with Creamy Chili Pepper Sauce, or as a soft taco with the classic toppings of lettuce, tomato, and shredded cheese.

Taco Bell says it plans to release Crispy Tortilla Chicken at all their locations in the United States in early 2020. But if you live in Dayton, Ohio or Houston, Texas, you can get a taste early during a test launch that starts soon in those two areas. An order of two-piece tenders will cost $2.99, three-piece is $3.99, and a soft taco is a thrifty $1.99. They will also be offering $5 and $7 meal boxes.
