Bananas are cooked in foil with chocolate chips and marshmallows. Great for the grill or a campfire, these will also bake up nicely in the oven. Get creative with other toppings like maraschino cherries, peanut butter chips, coconut, butterscotch morsels or caramel. "This was a recipe from my old Girl Scouting days," says Toni Boncella Blyth. "A very easy recipe for all ages that needs little adult supervision. Great for sleep-overs and backyard camping trips."

Gooey, drippy s'mores are a little bit easier to eat when you layer chocolate and marshmallows into an ice cream cone and serve them wrapped in aluminum foil straight from the campfire. Kids can have fun making their own. "These s'mores are neater and easier to make than traditional s'mores," says AllieGeekPi. "We love making them while camping or sitting around the fire pit. The quantity can easily be adjusted to suit your needs."

"Throw some of those bananas on the barbi," says Charlie. "A scrumptious dessert that will make your tastebuds jump for joy! Try pouring a drop of your favorite liquor over the bananas and ice cream just before serving."
