It's not an April Fools' joke, but these are not gonna be easy to get.

Each passing day brings us one step closer to Easter, undoubtedly the most important annual holiday for big fans of chewy, sugary Peeps marshmallows. If there's anything for these people to complain about this April 4th, it may be the fact that they have to stop and chew each particular Peep to get their fix.

Well, it would seem Pepsi has something to say about that. Just in time for peak Peeps season and spring weather, the soda brand is releasing a pretty crazy (and very real) Pepsi x Peeps collaboration.

This new, very limited-edition soda draws inspirations from both the aesthetics and taste of the iconic Easter candy. Each 7.5-ounce can comes in a pastel shade of blue, pink, or yellow, and all three combine the familiar taste of Pepsi with that sweet, soothing goodness to be found in every bite of a marshmallow bird or bunny.

While we can confirm that this too good to be true-sounding beverage is somehow not an April Fools' joke, Peeps diehards will have to put in a little bit of effort in order to acquire the soda.

Fans will have to enter Pepsi's #HangingWithMyPEEPS national sweepstakes between March 25th and March 31st, 2021. To potentially win a "Peepsi," fans can share a photo of them enjoying Peeps in the spring sunshine on Twitter and/or Instagram, tagging @Pepsi and using #HangingWithMyPeeps and #PepsiSweepstakes.

This isn't the only example of liquid Peeps, so to speak. International Delight's made a Peeps coffee creamer, and 7-Eleven had the vision to offer a Peeps-flavored Slurpee last year. While Pepsi x Peep's collection of three mini cans may not add up to a Big Gulp, at least you don't need to make coffee to sip on them.

So if you've been keeping your Peeps fanaticism a secret, now's the time to proclaim that love to the world. Opening up can be difficult, but you're not going to want the chance to get your sticky fingers on what may arguably be the first Easter-themed soda slip by.
