The tropical-inspired soda blends fruit, citrus, and sweet.

Mountain Dew is known for taking risks with new flavors. Their popular Code Red was a cult classic. Limited edition flavors like VooDew are swiped off the shelves. So if you count yourself a fan of the citrus soda, this new addition will transport you to a tropical place.

Maui Burst, a new fruity pineapple-flavored Mountain Dew, is hitting shelves right now.

What's inside? It's classic Mountain Dew but with real pineapple juice for a combination of citrus and sweet that makes the soda super refreshing. It's just rolling out, but the few reviews that are out there are quite good.

For instance, Instagrammer @Dadbodsnacks reported that it has "a mellow pineapple/citrus flavor that still holds true to the classic Dew flavor." Another one? According to @hodgekaze, "the pineapple is obvious but shares the stage well with the signature Mtn Dew kick."

Unfortunately, it's not in major retailers. You can only find it in stores at Dollar General, and it'll be $1 a can. You can find it on Ebay, but be warned, it'll be more expensive, with some sellers asking $7 a can. Hey, it's in demand! And if you want a flavor of the new Dew, that might not seem like a steep rice.
