Food News and Trends Krispy Kreme's Holiday Doughnuts Put Everyone on the Nice List Plus, they're giving free doughnuts to delivery workers on Cyber Monday. By Tim Nelson Published on November 23, 2020 Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Krispy Kreme For those who remember the 2003 film Elf and its Code of Elves, the mantra that "there's room for everyone on the nice list" is second only to "treat every day like Christmas." With a year that's been so naughty to so many of us, we could certainly stand to live by both of these creeds during what may become the strangest, most stressful December in many of our lives. The good news is that Krispy Kreme is taking that elf mantra to heart, spreading cheer to one and all in the form of their Nicest Holiday Collection assortment of a dozen doughnuts. Featuring one old favorite and two soon-to-be classics, the "gift-wrapped" Nicest Holiday Collection packages classic, decadent tastes adorned in cheery Christmas iconography. First, there's the Red Velvet Cake Batter-filled Festive Tree Doughnut, which is dipped in cream cheese icing depicting a tree and star up top. The Present Doughnut is another new gift in the collection, filled with Sugar Cookie Kreme and dipped in green icing and rounded out with a ribbon and a sugar "nice" tag. Fans of Krispy Kreme's past holiday offerings will be delighted by the return of the Santa Belly Doughnut, which fills a red icing and granulated sugar Kris Kringle up with Chocolate Kreme. While anyone can get their hands on a Nicest Holiday Collection dozen through December 24, Krispy Kreme is also showing some love to the mail carriers who function as Santa's subcontractors throughout the holiday season. On November 30 (aka Cyber Monday), any mail, parcel, or package delivery person who visits Krispy Kreme can claim an original glazed dozen for free with no purchase necessary. All they have to do is show up in uniform or with an employee ID. After how much love people showed the USPS when absentee ballots were going out, Krispy Kreme sees this as another way to shout out essential workers who whose vital work often goes unappreciated. Hershey's Changed Their Iconic Holiday Ad for First Time in 31 Years "All year long delivery drivers have helped keep us safe and they have to work even harder during the holidays. They are definitely all on the nice list," Krispy Kreme CMO Dave Skena said in a press release. "It's one of the ways we're doubling down on nice throughout the 2020 holiday season, which will include new, delicious and festive Krispy Kreme doughnuts perfect for celebrating, gifting and sharing joy." While those deliverers will get their special day on November 30, everyone can find something special at Krispy Kreme on December 12, its annual "Day of Dozens." On top of that, Gingerbread Glazed Doughnuts will show up on December 16. So if you've been looking for an easy substitute to those Christmas cookies you were thinking of baking but don't want to, follow the hot doughnut light. It may not lead you to the north pole, but it's probably the next best thing. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
