Krispy Kreme Is Sweetening Graduation for the Class of 2021 With Free Doughnuts
It's hard to envy the classes of 2020 or 2021. Whether high school or college, the past three semesters have been a little less than ideal, radically altering what should be some of the best years of a student's life — and not for the better.
Still, when life gives a graduate lemons, they might as well get some doughnuts out of it (at least I think that's how the saying goes). A new promotion from Krispy Kreme finds the glazed doughnut purveyors ready and willing to make life a little sweeter for anyone graduating high school or college this year with a special "Graduate Dozen" available for the low, low price of $0.
Compared to Krispy Kreme's other trending promotion, which gives you a free Original Glazed Doughnut with proof of vaccination, the Graduate Dozen is a special offering designed to celebrate one of life's sweetest moments. In addition to existing classics like Original Glazed, Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles, and Strawberry Iced with Sprinkles, there's a whole suite of doughnuts in the dozen tailor-made for the class of 2021. Among them are Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, a White Iced Original glazed, a Cake Batter Filled, and Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled doughnuts, which join forces to spell out 2021. Rounding things out is a Yellow Iced Original Glazed doughnut, because why not.
For grads, grabbing this dozen should prove easier than acing your final exams. Anyone can roll up to a participating Krispy Kreme and purchase a Graduate Dozen between May 10 and 16 to celebrate the occasion, but May 13 is when this year's seniors truly get to shine. That's when they can claim a free Graduate Dozen (while supplies last) simply by showing up in a cap and gown or any other "Class of 2021" gear.
So if you're looking for a way to make your socially distanced graduation at least a little more delicious, you could certainly do much worse than grabbing a Graduate Dozen on the way to the ceremony. And if you do manage to grab them for free on May 13, it's a much better deal than spending $10 on some avocado toast.
