Guacamole Base Formula
Two tablespoons of any of these tasty guacamole versions has only about 50 calories.
Ready in 15 minutes. Makes 1½ cups
- 2 medium avocados, halved, seeded, and peeled
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup fruit or vegetables
- ¼ cup snipped fresh herbs
- ¼ cup crumbled cheese (optional)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons finely chopped spicy pepper or onion
- ½ teaspoon salt
Mash together avocados and lime juice in a bowl. Stir in fruit or vegetables, herbs, cheese (if using), spicy pepper or onion, and salt. Serve with tortilla chips, plantain chips, or cut fresh vegetables.

Base formula + orange + cilantro + cotija cheese + jalapeño
