Hershey's Just Unveiled Their Halloween Candy — And We've Tried Them All
Trick or treat! Give us some Reese's Franken-Cups to eat!
You may still have red, white, and blue decorations from your Fourth of July celebrations last weekend hanging around your house, but go ahead and break out your witch's hat and superhero capes because it's time to talk Halloween! Hershey's just unveiled their Halloween 2020 candy lineup, and we're here to break down all the sugary news.
Hershey's gave us a sneak peak taste test of the new candies, so we can confirm these are all devilishly good. You're going to wish the season of pumpkin spice, flannel, and scarves would get here faster when you take in what's coming for the late-October holiday.
First up, the classic Reese's cup is getting an electrifying makeover. For Halloween 2020, you'll be handing out Reese's Franken-Cups, peanut butter cups that now have a franken-green creme on the bottom of the cup. It's really just a colorful white creme, and the cup tastes just like the old-fashioned cups. But it has a spooky new look that's just too perfect for Halloween.
And if that wasn't spooky enough, prepare yourself for new Kit Kat Witch's Brew. Not only is this Halloween treat a new color for the crispy wafer confection, these bars feature an all-new flavor — marshmallow! One bite and you'll be wrapped in a marshmallow cloud. A hint of nutty wafer sneaks in for a truly special and fun treat. These will be great for trick-or-treaters who like white chocolate sweets over milk chocolate or dark. Plus, we can't wait to see how creative cooks use these fun new candies in cupcake and cake decor.
If what you love about Halloween is the haunted houses and scary movies, Hershey's created a brand-new sweet just for you: Vampire Kisses. The hollowed-out Kisses are filled with a blood-red strawberry creme that is almost too realistic. But don't fear. They're sweet and totally poppable, so even little ghosts and goblins will love getting these in their little plastic pumpkins. Hershey's spared no detail on this Halloween candy: the foil wraps are bespoke, with red bats; the flags say, "Vampire," too. These taste very much like classic chocolate-covered strawberries, so don't fear the vampire bite!
Lastly, you'll need to bring out your artistic side — and your teeth — to enjoy the new Hershey's Cookies 'n' Creme Fangs the way the creators intended. The mini candy bars are molded with scary vampire fangs. You just need to nibble away at the bar to expose the fangs and full set of teeth. Then, slip the fangs into your mouth for a scary selfie. But hurry! The yummy bar will melt quickly.
You can also expect a few favorites to return this year, including the Kit Kat Pumpkin Pie Miniatures and Glow-in-the-Dark Hershey's Miniature Collection. Additionally, Reese's Peanut Butter Pumpkins will be back for the 27th year, and the Monster Milk Chocolate Kisses, which feature fun monster foils and scary flags, will be available nationwide this year. Look for these goodies to be rolling out in late summer and early fall. And be sure to snag multiple bags of your favorite because they're all limited edition, and there's no guarantee they'll be back next year.
