Hershey's and DC Comics Are Sending Super Hero Chocolate Bars to Frontline Heroes
We're still a few months out from the expected release date of Wonder Woman 1984, but the candy world is already filled with sweet anticipation. SweeTARTS announced last week a new golden licorice offering inspired by Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth. And this week, Hershey's revealed a partnership with DC Comics for a brand-new line of Super Hero Milk Chocolate Bars.
But because these are unprecedented times, Hershey's and DC didn't want to roll out the bars in any typical fashion. They're giving first dibs to real superheroes, frontline works in America's hospitals.
Over the next few weeks, Hershey's will be delivering shipments of these chocolate bars to hospital in hard-hit cities like Philadelphia, New York, and Los Angeles. Each segment of the bars features superhero logos or sayings like "Bam!" It's enough to melt the hearts of every comic book fan.
If you want to get your hands on the fantastic new offering, don't despair. The Super Hero Chocolate Bars will be available to the public beginning in July.
In addition to this sweet donation, Hershey's has been stepping up to directly help healthcare organizations with cash donations and product donations in recent weeks. They've also invested $1 million in acquiring and staffing a new manufacturing line that is dedicated solely to producing face masks.
