Fact is, we're not eating enough fruits and veggies. As TIME magazine reported: According to a federal data, "In every state in the U.S., fewer than one in five American adults are eating enough fruit and vegetables." What's enough? Recent U.S. Dietary Guidelines recommend that we eat two-to-three cups of vegetables and 1.5-to-two cups of fruit each day.

Meanwhile, our national tequila intake approaches dangerously low levels! Okay, no, probably not. But at any rate, these margarita recipes are here to help you get your fruits and veggies in the yummiest (if not precisely the healthiest) way possible -- by means of margarita.

1. Jalapeño and Cucumber Margarita

Jalapeños are loaded with vitamins C and A. Meanwhile, the capsaicin promotes healthy blood flow and has anti-inflammatory properties. Cucumbers? Also healthy. Drink up.

2. Ultimate Frozen Strawberry Margarita

Strawberries offer fiber, vitamins, and lots of antioxidants. Here's what WebMD says about 'em: "These potent little packages protect your heart, increase HDL (good) cholesterol, lower your blood pressure, and guard against cancer." Also, they play well with tequila and lime juice.

3. Banana Margaritas

Lots of soluble fiber in bananas, which slows digestion and makes you feel full longer. They're also a rich source of potassium.

4. Lauren's Grapefruit Margaritas

True, the grapefruit in this recipe is juice -- and we're not really counting juice. It's the pomegranate seeds that granted this one access to the list. The seeds are optional. But recommended.

5. Frozen Raspberry Margaritas

Like strawberries, rapsberries are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and dietary fiber. For best results, eat a handful while mixing this cocktail.

Wait, how'd this one get in here? It features, uh, melon-flavored schnapps, not actual melon. So fine, mistakes were made. What do you want? We're half-a-dozen margs into this list.

7. Frozen Avocado Margaritas

Avocados are nutrient dense with loads of vitamins (C, E, K, B6) and minerals and fiber, not to mention omega-3s and beta-carotene. Incredible. It's a superfood margarita.
