Funfetti Ice Cream Is Here to Liven Up Your Freezer

When it comes to adding a bit of pizzazz to desserts and baked goods, nothing gets the job done quite like Funfetti. The star of many a birthday cake or celebratory treat, there are few better ways to literally brighten things up. It's all the joy of (edible) glitter without the seemingly permanent mess.

Though Funfetti cakes pair perfectly with ice cream, a new release spotted by @CandyHunting will make things easier by cutting out the middleman. Yup, we're talking about Funfetti ice cream.

Served up by Edy's/Dreyer's (who have confirmed that Funfetti ice cream is both real and spectacular), the new product features a cake crunch swirl, not to mention some vibrant rainbow sprinkles. After all, is it even really Funfetti if it doesn't include those signature flecks of color and taste? It's like having your cake and eating ice cream too.

According to Edy's, this Funfetti ice cream will be available in two different sizes. The massive 48 ounce, 1.5 quart containers are the perfect option for family-sized celebrations, while 10-packs of individual Funfetti ice cream cups can liven up even a party of one.

Though @CandyHunting is quick to point out that Funfetti ice cream has been spotted on Instacart, the word from a rep is that it's "currently rolling out nationwide" with the expectation that it will be "fully available" by March 2021. So unless you're a Capricorn, there's a good chance that you'll find it in time for your birthday. But based on everything we know about this stuff already, there's no reason that an official Funfetti ice cream should be reserved solely for special occasions.
