(It's usually easier to remove the stickers before rinsing.) 1. Slice the Tomato Meredith Use a serrated kitchen knife or a very sharp straight-edged knife for slicing. Place the tomato on its side and cut into evenly spaced slices starting at the stem and ending at the bottom. Take care that the slices are the same thickness. For steps 2 and 3, you'll make all of your cuts the same width as your slices in step 1 are thick. If you want a very small-size dice, make all of the slices closer together. 2.
