Breakfast or Dessert? You Decide!

Decadent dishes like sticky buns and bread pudding are breakfast favorites for a reason. But why limit them to mornings? If making breakfast for dinner feels like bending the rules, having breakfast for dessert just might be the sweetest rebellion.

1. Blueberry Bread Pudding

Creamy inside and crunchy on top. This comforting bread pudding is what French toast wants to be when it graduates from breakfast and moves on to dessert. It's easy to pull off, too, with day-old bread and things you likely already have on hand.

2. Salted Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns

Buns for All Enjoy one pan for dessert and take the other pan to work in the morning—you'll be the toast of the office! Serve warm with coffee, ice-cold milk, or even vanilla ice cream.

3. Carrot Cake Muffins with Cinnamon Glaze

Too Big for You? We baked these in jumbo muffin cups and added cream cheese frosting because we love it so much. But you can use 16 standard (21/2-inch) muffin cups, bake 20 minutes, and skip the frosting. Still good!

4. Janet's Rich Banana Bread

That's Bananas! As several community members suggested, we mashed rather than chopped the bananas, made sure we had a full cup of mash in the batter, and added a thickly sliced banana to the top. Though it slices better the next day, we like this bread's crisp brown crust and moist interior when it's fresh from the oven. And we love it best with a little schmear of butter. Watch the video to see the recipe come together.

5. Strawberry Dutch Baby Pancake

Fruit Swap Mollie's original recipe uses apples, but we used fresh strawberries instead. This puffed, buttery pancake is a crowd-pleaser—and as easy to make after a weeknight dinner as it is on a weekend morning.
