Cracker Barrel and Dolly Parton Are Giving Away a Gift Only They Could — a Pink Rocking Chair
Just as the location and scope of your Thanksgiving dinner will probably be a bit different in 2020, so too will be the experience of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Specifically, there won't be any fans in the audience when country legend Dolly Parton hits the stage to perform.
However, Cracker Barrel is making sure that 10 lucky fans can enjoy the next-best thing to being around Dolly Parton while she sings “A Holly Jolly Christmas”: furniture with her name on it. In honor of the down-home restaurant chain's second annual participation in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and in a bid to keep the holiday spirit alive, they've put together an exclusive VIP Watch Party for ten contest winners.
Though the watch party package sadly doesn't include exclusive access to Dollywood or any one on one time with the Queen of Country, the perks in this Watch Party Package are pretty cool. In addition to getting a copy of A Holly Dolly Christmas, Parton's first new batch of Christmas songs in 30 years, they'll also get an ultra-rare pink Cracker Barrel rocking chair adorned with Dolly's autograph. Talk about a statement piece for your living room.
Oh, and if that wasn't enough, VIP Watch Party winners will also each get $100 gift cards to both Macy's and Cracker Barrel. That'll let you make a little dent in your holiday shopping, followed by a rewarding meal of country-fried comfort food for the whole family.
This marks the second consecutive year Cracker Barrel has had a presence in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Last year, they sent a "tiny home away from home" to NYC to mark the occasion and made a parade float with a giant oven on it. I think we'd all have to agree that both of those things have nothing on Dolly Parton, though.
To enter the contest and potentially claim your reward, enter for free at CrackerBarrelSharedTraditions.com through November 17. All you have to do is provide a little contact info, and share what you regard as your favorite Macy's Parade or Thanksgiving holiday tradition. Sounds pretty easy.
So if you ever wanted a piece of pink furniture that reminded you of Dolly Parton every time you sat down on it, you know what to do. Just don't get too excited and tip the thing over.
