This is no Hershey's bar.

Two of the most decadent and creamy foods — avocado and chocolate — have united as one in a new chocolate bar. And for good measure, the creators have thrown in crispy bits of tortilla chips. Does it make sense? No. Is it delicious? Absolutely.

The Avocado Chocolate Bar is the work of Compartés, a Los Angeles-based chocolate company. The bar combines creamy avocado and chocolate with crispy, crunchy tortilla chips for a chocolate bar that hits all kinds of flavor and textural notes.

A new twist on guacamole and chips, this chocolate bar has all the flavors you're looking for in a post-dinner or mid-afternoon snack: something sweet, thanks to the chocolate, but also a bit savory, as well. There's also the crunch of chips against the creamy smoothness of the avocado-chocolate bar. In short, the sweetness, saltiness, and crunchiness make this bar a truly unique treat that definitely stands out.

If it sounds like your thing, you should act fast, as the bars are popular but limited edition. Last year, the Avocado Toast Chocolate Bar sold out quickly. Once they're sold out, they're gone for the season.

And if out-there chocolate combos are your thing, check out Compartés other unique bars, like the Donuts & Coffee Milk Chocolate Bar or Scones & Jam Milk Chocolate Bar, both of which sound pretty special and delicious. These bars cost $10, and you can buy them online or at one of the Compartés stores in the LA area.
