Bacon deviled eggs seem like a no-brainer. After all, bacon and eggs go together like...bacon and eggs! "These were a huge hit," says taratronson. "I followed the recipe except for putting the bacon in the egg mixture I sprinkled it on top. I made about 32 halves and needed to make way more."

4. Special Deviled Eggs

Making deviled eggs with relish gives them a sweet and tangy flavor that's fairly typical of Southern-style deviled eggs. But add a little horseradish, too, and you've got deviled eggs with a special kick to them. To keep from adding too much moisture to the filling, drain extra liquid from the relish and horseradish before mixing them in.

This year I decided to switch it up with Chef John's spicy twist to the predictable deviled egg, and I'm never going back!"

10. Jalapeño Bacon Cheddar Deviled Eggs

"Made these for 4th of July party," says rdreed2. "They were delicious. Some friends were afraid to try them because I labeled them jalapeno, but since I took out the seeds & membrane, they had some kick, but were not HOT." Tip: The recipe doesn't say so, but you can use thin strips of jalapeno to garnish the eggs and signal to unsuspecting guests that these are a little spicy.
