There'll be no need to hoard that extra Polynesian sauce in 2021.

If there's one thing besides chicken that sets Chick-fil-A apart from other fast food chains, it has to be its lineup of delicious sauces. Though their nuggets are great, they really aren't complete without an enthusiastic dip of Polynesian or Chick-fil-A Sauce. Heck, the chain's signature sauce is such a hit that KFC is essentially trying to develop their own knockoff version.

If there's been one thing to criticize about these sauces, it's that you had to order something from Chick-fil-A in order to acquire them. Soon enough, however, those days will be over.

This week, Chick-fil-A announced that it will soon start selling 16 ounce bottles of Chick-fil-A and Polynesian sauces at retailers across the country. These bounteous bottles of glory will go on sale at Publix, Kroger, Walmart and Winn-Dixie stores throughout the southeast (Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Florida, and Georgia) beginning in mid-November. The rest of the country thankfully won't have to wait too much longer, as Chick-fil-A has a nationwide rollout planned for 2021.

In case you're a vegetarian who's somehow never experienced Chick-fil-A, the two sauces on offer here are perhaps the most popular entries in an extensive roster. The Polynesian sauce is Chick-fil-A's take on a sweet and sour sauce, marked by a ''strong, tangy flavor.'' Their signature Chick-fil-A sauce is a sort of hybrid between honey mustard and bbq sauces, featuring an irresistible smoky tang.

You may recall that Chick-fil-A has technically been selling these two sauces at select Florida-based Publix locations back in April. It now seems like that trial run was (unsurprisingly) successful enough that they're expanding the effort nationwide.

Chick-fil-A is also using the sale of these signature sauces as an opportunity to help some of its employees. According to a press release, 100% of the royalties Chick-fil-A earns from the third-party retail sales of these sauces will go towards their Remarkable Futures Scholarship Initiative, a fund that's given $17 million in 2020 to Team Members looking to further their education.

So if you're tired of hoarding extra Chick-fil-A sauce every time you order, help is on the way. Just be sure to stock up whenever you do see these 16-ounce bottles of sauce, because these sure seem like one food item popular enough to become scarce even under normal shopping circumstances.
