Food News and Trends Goldfish's New Flavor Is a Slightly More Mature One You might steal even more crackers from your kid. By Tim Nelson Published on January 7, 2021 Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: Pepperidge Farm Though there are numerous Goldfish flavors on the market at this point, it's really hard to go wrong with classic Cheddar. The taste of that OG orange cracker is what most instinctively think of when it comes to Goldfish, and it's hard to blame them. But what if, Pepperidge Farm asked seemingly to no one in particular, there was a way to take that already-great flavor and blast it with a bunch of sour cream? Well my friends, it turns out there is. Just in time for breaking snacking-based New Year's resolutions, Pepperidge Farm's baked up a batch of flavor blasted Goldfish that combine classic Cheddar with sour cream, two tastes that you may or may not have expected to join forces. Given that separate Flavor Blasted Cheddar and Sour Cream varieties of Goldfish exist, it's probably safe to assume that both sides of the flavor equation are "blasted" (read: loaded with extra magical flavor dust) in this case. While I'd venture a guess that most people have an existing preference when it comes to choosing sour cream or Cheddar Goldfish, maybe this union of flavors is proof that two opposing camps can come together and find common ground. That common ground might not end up giving anyone what they actually want, but at least it's something, I guess. KFC Calls Their New Chicken Sandwich the 'Best Ever' You'll find this zesty, cheesy combination of Goldfish flavors at nationwide retailers later in January 2021 (the unofficial 13th month of 2020), with a retail price around $2.49. Compared to the weird, conjoined Goldfish piece that someone's trying to sell on eBay for $500, that sounds like a pretty good deal. Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why!
