UPDATE October 7, 2019: It's a (very early) Christmas miracle! Pillsbury's Buddy the Elf cookies have been spotted on shelves.
So far, we know they're available at Walmart. Last year, however, they were available at a variety of stores nationwide—including Target, Walmart, Kroger, Meijer, Albertson, Safeway, Ahold, and Delhaize—so we're willing to bet they'll be rolling out at other retailers soon.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE October 16, 2018: This holiday season just got a lot merrier—Buddy the Elf cookie dough is a thing, you guys!
Yes, we're still in Halloween mode here, but this Pillsbury product has us ready to ditch our pumpkin spice for gingerbread.
Though this festive treat hasn't yet appeared on Pillsbury's website alongside their other seasonal favorites such as reindeer, snowmen, and Christmas tree cookies, the cookies have already been spotted in stores and on Target's website.
Each package comes with 24 individual sugar cookies, crafted from Pillsbury's traditional ready-to-bake dough, Pillsbury told INSIDER.
The cookies feature Buddy's iconic hat in the green and yellow colors from the film.
So far, we know the cookies can be found at Target, Walmart and Kroger, Meijer, Albertson, Safeway, Ahold, and Delhaize.
Don't mind us, we'll just be stuffing our faces—and VCRs—until New Year's.
