By Kimberly Holland Updated on July 1, 2020 Share Tweet Pin Email Photo: General Mills UPDATE July 1, 2020: We didn't have to wait long for the new Baby Yoda cereal after all. General Mills just confirmed that The Mandalorian-inspired cereal will arrive in Sam's Clubs by the end of July for a limited time. At Sam's Club, you'll be able to buy two bags of the sweetened corn puffs and marshmallow pieces shaped like the Child for about $6. By mid-August, the cereal will transport itself onto Walmart shelves where it will be available in a single-bag pack. With this news, you won't have to go to a galaxy far, far away for this fun treat. PREVIOUSLY: You just knew today, May the 4th, would be filled with punny Star Wars lines, new product releases, and great memes. But did you know it would have breakfast cereal, too? This morning, General Mills teased the release of a new Baby Yoda cereal. "May the 4th Be With You!" the food brand wrote on its Instagram post with the image of a mock cereal box. From the picture alone, we can pick up a few details (because General Mills isn't giving many of those). The box says "Sweetened Corn Puffs with Marshmallows." That sounds an awful lot like Kix. These Are the Dishes You're Looking For: Recipes for Celebrating May the 4th And the marshmallows appear to be Baby Yoda-shaped blobs. They're even light green. General Mills also makes Lucky Charms, so if what they're telling us is this cereal is a mix of Kix and Lucky Charms, with the added fantasy of Baby Yoda and Star Wars, we have just three words: Sign us up. A General Mills rep confirmed to Allrecipes the cereal is coming this summer, but no exact release date is known. We will be sure to let you know as soon as we have the official word. 12 Kitchen Gadgets for the Ultimate Star Wars Fan Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
